Family Craft: Adopt-a-Rock

A rock with googly eyes

Adopt-a-Rock for Earth Day! Did you know Earth Day April is 22nd? What better way to get your little one involved than give them one of the oldest things on Earth - a granite rock! Workshop facilitator is local artist Robin Mullery, an artist-in-residence with the City of Palo Alto.

  • These ancient granite rocks have never been around humans before, they need our love and care now that they are on the surface of the Earth.
  • At our Adopt-a-Rock workshop your family can pick a rock, clean it, decorate it, and find a suitable box-bed to take it home in.

Ages 3 - 11.

Note: Registration is required. Register the amount of people who will be making the craft. Registration opens: Thursday Mar 30 at 9:00am
