Project Description

To mitigate fire risk due to electric equipment, Palo Alto plans to relocate the overhead electric lines to underground on Arastradero Road.

Scope of Work

• Install substructure work including boxes for electric and fiber lines
• Remove electric lines and fiber lines from the poles
• Install pad-mount equipment where possible

Project Status

This is the first part of multiple construction phases in the City's effort to underground existing electric lines and mitigate fire risk.

FY 2022: Install substructure on Arastradero Road

FY 2023: Install substructure on Arastradero Creek Trail
