The Phase III Cross Bore Verification, Inspection and Assessment Program FY 2021 and FY 2022 is a 2-year project that will video-inspect and assess approximately 1,480 sewer laterals throughout the City.
Scope of Work
- Inspecting the existing sanitary sewer laterals for the presence of cross bores
- Evaluating the pipe condition of the City-owned laterals
- Coding any defects in conformance with the National Association of Sewer Services Companies (NASSCO) standards
The project’s sewer inspections started on April 5, 2021.
The City of Palo Alto is divided into 4 quadrant locations as shown on the “Cross Bore Phase III Project Map”.
Progress Report as of March 08, 2022
Quadrant 1 – 65 addresses completed out of 69.
Quadrant 2 – 447 addresses completed out of 469.
Quadrant 3 – 400 addresses completed out of 684.
Quadrant 4 – 2 addresses completed out of 257.
Overall, 914 inspections have been completed out of 1,480 addresses.
March and April 2022 inspections are currently scheduled for Quadrant 3.
