About Palo Alto Parks

The City of Palo Alto provides more than 4,500 acres of park land for locals and visitors to enjoy. Many of the neighborhood parks offer free activities such as children’s playgrounds, playing fields, and trails. Special recreational facilities are also available at select locations, such as tennis courts, basketball courts, skate parks, dog parks, and community gardens.

Parks close each evening from 10:30PM to sunrise.

Parking Costs

3-Hours or Less Parking

Free. No permit required.

All Day Visitor Parking

Visitors may purchase a one-day permit. All day permits may be purchased on the 1st Level of Civic Center at Revenue Collections, or the 1st Level of either the Bryant /Lytton garage or the Cowper/Webster garage. The cost is $17.50/day for downtown area.
