Jeff Greenfield is in his third term on the PRC. He is serving as Chair for the second time, and served as Vice Chair three times. Since 1998, Jeff has lived in Palo Alto with his wife and their two daughters, who attended Palo Alto schools.
Jeff has many ties to the local soccer community. He referees youth through adult level soccer games. He has served as a board advisor to the Palo Alto Adult Soccer League since 2019, after 15 years as a board member, including 6 years as President. Jeff has been involved with AYSO for 30 years, first as a youth player, later as a coach, and currently as a referee. He also managed club youth soccer teams.
Jeff has served as a Canopy board advisor since 2017. He has advocated for increased tree protection, helped develop tools to map, survey, and select trees, and assisted as a tree planting and pruning leader. Other past community volunteer work includes encouraging bicycle commuting with the Gunn Safe Routes team, serving on the Fairmeadow PTA board, and coaching YMCA youth basketball.
Jeff worked professionally as a senior systems engineer and project manager for 30+ years developing professional video products. He received his B.S. in Engineering from Harvey Mudd College. Jeff’s interests include soccer, hiking in the local open spaces, biking, tree care and gardening, music, and environmentalism and sustainability.
