Reserve a Campsite

Towle Camp is a seasonal campground at Foothills Park available to the public and their accompanied guests for tent camping from May 1st to October 31st.

*Effective December 17, 2020 Foothills Park will be open to the general public.* 

Online

Step 1.Rules & Requirements

  • Reservations must be made by an adult aged 21 years or more, who must be present for the entire reservation.
  • Reservations may be made up to a year in advance but must be made at least a week in advance. Reservations for holidays must be made through one of the community centers, such as Lucie Stern (650-463-4900). Same-day reservations are not accepted.
  • $40 per site, per night. Your reservation time will begin at 2:00PM and end at 12:00PM.
  • There are eight tent camping sites. Sites 1 and 5 hold 16 people each (in up to 4 cars) while the other sites hold 8 people each (in up to 2 cars).
  • Each site has a tent pad, picnic table, charcoal barbeque, food locker, and water. There are two campfire circles with benches for use by all campers. Portable toilets and Zero Waste dumpsters (recycling, compost and landfill) are in the parking lot. 
  • Visit the Towle Camp website and become familiar with the different sites, arrival/departure information, vehicles and parking, dogs, fire permits, etc.

  • Credit card required for payment.
  • Once your reservation has been confirmed, a guest list must be submitted to Foothills Park one week in advance, listing all members of your party, residents and non-residents alike.

  • By reserving online, you will be able to receive immediate confirmation of your reservation and check transaction history. For questions, e-mail csd@cityofpaloalto.org. Staff will get back to you within 1 business day.
