Little Fish: A Community Activated Project
San Francisco-based artist Sophia Lee created a temporary installation of hanging origami fish and lights made possible through community involvement. Participants contributed by folding origami fish from recycled paper such as: junk-mail or shipping papers, food packaging, gift packaging, shopping bags, and old magazines. This temporary installation animates a vacant storefront at 250 University Ave in downtown Palo Alto.
The artist believes in involving the community in her public art projects whenever possible to inspire action and small steps toward creativity.
