Spend quality time together at the Palo Alto Art Center. We offer enriching art experiences for children and meaningful experiences for parents. Free Family Days provide festive afternoons of art-making fun for the whole family.

Fall Family Day

Sunday, October 23, 2 - 4:30 p.m. 

1313 Newell Road, Palo Alto CA 94303

Join us for a creative afternoon inspired by our exhibition Fire Transforms. This family-oriented event will feature a real fire truck on display, hands-on, fire-themed artmaking projects, community organization booths, and closing off the event, a fire-themed story time!

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:

  • 2 - 4 p.m. Artmaking activities: DIY Fire Breathing Dragon; Mini Firefighter Truck; and Firefighter Puppet
  • 2 - 4 p.m. Climate Connections activities hosted by Kat Kid Adventures, Engage On, and Canopy
  • 2:30 - 3:30 p.m. City of Palo Alto fire truck on display*.
  • 4 - 4:30 p.m. Fire-themed story time hosted by the Mitchell Park Library

*Note that fire employees will be in-service and will be required to leave to respond to emergencies if needed.
