Join the Conversation and Stay Informed
The City is developing a series of community engagement opportunities to help inform, gain input and listen and hear from many perspectives. The City is also working to connect the different conversations taking place over the next several months focused on Racial Equity. We wanted to share a few different conversations taking place so you can save the date. Join the conversation at any of the events listed and in the calendar below.

Learning sessions are a way to help inform on complex topics. Police Community Briefings are planned to share police information and act as a foundation for further discussions taking place.
Another opportunity that occurred recently includes a Q + A session and informal conversation with Police Chief Robert Jonsen, Palo Alto City Manager Ed Shikada, and Reverend Kaloma Smith, a community leader and Pastor of University AME Zion Church in Palo Alto. Reverend Smith is also the Chairperson of the City’s Human Relations Commission. Watch the informal Q+A on YouTube.
