Palo Alto -- Many City of Palo Alto offices will be closed during the December holidays. Of course, all public safety and emergency services will be fully operational.

The closure days are Monday, December 22, Tuesday, December 23, and Friday, December 26. Wednesday and Thursday, December 24-25 are official City holidays and offices will be closed.

Many City employees are taking unpaid furlough during the three-day closure. The furlough is necessary to balance the City's budget.
