Lunch Hour Presentation on Palo Alto's Livable
Residential Streets Focus Groups
Palo Alto, CA -- A presentation entitled "Livable Residential Streets: Palo Alto Focus Group Results and Follow-up Questionnaire" is scheduled from Noon until 1:30 PM on Monday, July 7th in the Palo Alto City Council Conference Room at Palo Alto City Hall on 250 Hamilton Avenue. The presentation is by Katherine Kao Cushing, PHD, Associate Director, Stanford Program on Urban Studies and Joseph Kott, Chief Transportation Official, City of Palo Alto. Professor Cushing and Mr. Kott will describe and discuss results of two recent focus groups of Palo Alto residents and the design of a follow-up questionnaire intended for a representative sample of Palo Altans on the topic of traffic impacts on the quality of life on residential streets.
The event is part of the continuing "Sandwich Symposium" series on transportation topics sponsored by the City of Palo Alto Transportation Division, Department of Planning and Community Environment, and is free and open to the public. The series has been characterized by both a high degree of civility and lively dialog. The Sandwich Symposium series is strictly non-partisan and intended by the Transportation Division to foster a learning organization within a learning community
