NEW
WEBSITE FOR SHORELINE
AMPHITHEATER NOISE COMPLAINTS
Palo Alto, CA -- The City of Palo Alto and the Palo Alto
Police Department announce the launching of their new website for
the reporting of noise complaints associated with the Shoreline
Amphitheatre. Working directly from a Palo Alto City Council directive,
members of the Palo Alto Police Department's Technical Services
Division developed an on-line website for citizens to more efficiently
handle complaints about the noise from the Shoreline Amphitheatre
during the concert series.
The website was developed by Police Webmaster Larry O'Brien. The
system was activated on May 29th and is available to any and all
citizens who wish to make a specific complaint about noise from
the concerts at Shoreline. The website is available at www.papd.org,
and the prompts will take people to the Shoreline noise complaint
section. If residents do not have access to a computer, a voicemail
number is available at (650) 329-2631.
All complaints are recorded and are reported regularly to the Palo
Alto City Council, the City of Mountain View, and the Shoreline
Amphitheatre. The entire web page must be filled out for a complaint
to be recorded, and all information is secure and any names and
phone numbers are confidential with the City of Palo Alto. Both
web and telephone complaints are checked Monday thru Friday during
the summer concert series.
