Transportation Division, Stanford Students
Seek Palo Alto Residents for Focus Group

Palo Alto, CA -- The Transportation Division is working with a group of students in the Stanford Program on Urban Studies on a research project regarding traffic effects on the quality of life along residential streets. The student research project is being conducted under the auspices of Katherine Kao Cushing, Ph.D., Associate Director of the Program on Urban Studies, and Joe Kott, Palo Alto's Chief Transportation Official. The Residential Streets Livability Research Project is an opportunity for students to make a contribution to better understanding of community transportation issues and for the community to benefit from research on this important topic.

An important component of the research requires convening a focus group session of Palo Alto residents. Residents of Palo Alto who are interested in participating in a two-hour focus group session on traffic and residential quality of life are encouraged to contact the Transportation Division at 329-2520 or 329-2578.
