Mayor,
City Manager Take Questions on "Budget Talk"
|
Palo Alto, CA -- Mayor Dena Mossar and City Manager Frank
Benest will appear on a call-in cable TV show Wednesday, April 9th,
to answer questions from residents about budget issues facing the
City. The show, called "Budget Talk," will be on Channel
27 from 9-10 pm.
"We want to use every method possible to get residents involved
in the discussion about how to allocate our scarce resources,"
said Mossar. " We're hoping for some direct questions during
the call-in show."
City Manager Frank Benest echoed Mossar's comments. "Our budget
survey told us that residents recognize the need to cut back. But
there are still a lot of decisions to be made about just where those
cutbacks should occur."
The call-in number at the station is 856-1491 and calls will be
taken between 9 pm and 10 pm. Residents who are unable to call in
during the show are invited to email their questions to citymgr@cityofpaloalto.org
and if time is available, the questions will be answered.
For background information about the budget, residents are asked
to visit the City's website at www.cityofpaloalto.org and click
on "Palo Alto's Budget Crisis."
