Staffing Emergencies Reduce Library Hours

Palo Alto - Effective immediately, and until further notice, the College Terrace and Downtown Branches of the Palo Alto City Library will be closed an additional day each week due to unexpected staffing emergencies. Two employees will be on extended absences, and unfortunately this prevents the Library from continuing to maintain its existing schedule.

"We've explored every option to avoid having to close additional days at the branches. I'm very sorry for the inconvenience to our library customers," said Library Director Paula Simpson.

The College Terrace Branch will be closed on Tuesdays until further notice. It will now be open be Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 11am to 6pm.

The Downtown Branch will be closed on Thursdays until further notice. It will now be open on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 11am to 6pm.
