Survey Results to be Announced
|
Palo
Alto – The Library Advisory Commission will hold a special
meeting on Thursday, February 9 at 7pm in the City Council Chambers
at City Hall, 250 Hamilton Ave. The purpose of the meeting is to
receive the results of the recent community telephone survey about
library services. Representatives of Godbe Research Associates,
the firm retained by the City of Palo Alto to conduct the survey,
will present the report. Commissioners and members of the public
will have the opportunity to ask questions about the survey.
The
results of the survey, along with additional information such as
population projections, best practices, and trends in public library
service, will be used by the Library Advisory Commission to develop
a long-range plan in the form of recommendations. This plan will
be presented to the City Council in the late spring of 2006.
Godbe
Research Associates is a firm with over 15 years experience in public
opinion research, and with extensive experience working with public
libraries. It is headquartered in the Bay Area.
The
survey results will be available on the Library website at www.cityofpaloalto.org/library
after the February 9 presentation. For additional information,
contact Paula Simpson at 329-2403 or paula.simpson@cityofpaloalto.org
