The City of Palo Alto released its first ever Citywide Transportation Survey
in Spring 2013 to help better understand the travel mode and commute patterns of the community. Residents and persons traveling into Palo Alto to work are encouraged to complete the survey online. The survey was also made available in print form at city facilities with prepaid postage and envelopes to encourage participation.
Highlights of the survey included questions on travel mode bicycle and electronic vehicle ownership, and parking usage. Date from the survey will be used to develop future transportation programs, projects and policies. Background and a copy of the survey were provided to Council as an information item in the March 4, 2013, Council packet.
