Palo Alto is an excellent place to live – residents enjoy our beautiful city, thriving cultural atmosphere, and charming neighborhoods.
Unfortunately, our community facilities are deteriorating and do not reflect our extraordinary community and Palo Alto’s reputation as a center of higher education, technology, research and business. Repairs, improvements and upgrades simply must be made to our libraries and public safety building to maintain our high quality of life and continue to provide the outstanding services the community expects.
The City has begun to evaluate options for addressing some of these needs. A community task force looked at options for addressing public safety facility needs and the Library Advisory Commission (LAC) has also evaluated options for library and community center needs. Both of these groups have presented information to the City Council for consideration.
