Residents may notice a haze smelling of smoke outdoors in the Palo Alto area over the next few days. The smoke is a result of the Summit fire smoke in Santa Cruz County being blown in our direction. There is no indication that the level of smoke is hazardous to your health. Residents with reparatory problems or sensitivity to the smoke may want to avoid any risk by staying indoors, limiting exposure and minimizing outdoor physical activity in smoky areas.
