On December 13, 2010 the City Council adopted the California Green Building Code (CALGreen) with Local Amendments as the City's new Green Building Requirements.Residential projects will continue to use the Build It Green, GreenPoint Rated Program, while nonresidential projects will use CALGreen. The new 2008 California Energy Efficiency Code, Title 24 Part 6, goes into effect January 1, 2010. Click here to review changes from the 2005 code. The California Energy Commission has unveiled a New Energy Education Center to assist with compliance and exceeding the code.
