The City of Palo Alto Aquatics program offers a variety of ways to enjoy the pool including lap swim, recreation swim, swim lessons for all ages, fitness classes, camps, pool parties, and special events. Enjoy swimming!
*Please note that Recreation Swim for both the Wading Pool and Lap Pool is open Saturdays and Sundays from 12:30pm to 4:30pm only. Weekday Recreation Swim starts Monday, June 10, 2013.

Lap Swim Lap swimming is a great low-impact exercise for swimmers of all levels. The City of Palo Alto offers Lap Swim services several hours each day for your convenience. For admission rates, please see below.
Recreation Swim Recreation swim is a fun, casual exercise for swimmers of all ages. The City of Palo Alto offers Recreation Swim between the months of May through September, every year. For admission rates, please see below.
Swim Lessons & Classes The City of Palo Alto offers a wide array of swim lessons and water fitness programs for everyone to enjoy. To inquire about classes currently being offered, please refer to the Enjoy! catalog.
Private Pool Parties Hosting a party at the pool is a great way to celebrate any occasion. The Rinconada Wading Pool is available for rent and is suitable for kids aged 8 and below and their companions. For schedule and fees, please see our brochure and FAQs on the right. Pool party reservations are accepted beginning in February before the April through September season.
Rinconada Pool Rinconada's Wading Pool offers features like "lemon drop" geysers, a circular waterfall, “Aqua-ducks” (water bicycles that squirt water), a zero depth “beach” area ideal for infants, as well as a small slide. The maximum depth is 3 feet.
Rinconada’s Lap Pool includes two diving boards and 14 lap lanes (25 yards in length.) In addition to our Recreation Swim program in the Spring, Summer and Fall seasons, we offer early morning, midday and evening lap swim sessions for your convenience.
Both Rinconada's Wading and Lap Pools are heated to 80 degrees year-round.
Gunn High School Pool Gunn Pool has 14 lanes, 25 yards in length. Its shallow end is 3'6" deep while its deep end is 12' deep. Gunn is generally open Monday through Thursday, from the second week in June through the last week in July annually. Gunn Pool is heated to 80 degrees.
Membership Discount for Regular Swimmers! How it works: Accounts can be set up at Rinconada Pool, Lucie Stern Community Center, and Cubberley Community Center. Swimmers purchase swims in advance at discounted price (minimum of 10 swims, no maximum). Card is swiped at the pool and a swim is deducted. Swims don’t expire. Fees per swim are listed above. For Resident Membership rates, swimmers must provide proof of residency (this can include a driver’s license or a Palo Alto Utility Bill, lease agreement, phone bill, with photo ID).
