Teen Art Classes

Help your teens develop skills in the arts, experience the power of creative expression, build confidence, and explore their interests, all in a fun and supportive environment.

We offer a variety of art classes and summer workshops for the artist in every student. Many classes are offered for every interest and skill level in a broad range of media, including traditional media such as drawing, painting, and ceramics, and new media such as digital photography and stop-motion animation.

Because classes are taught by highly trained professional artist instructors with limited group sizes, students of all ages receive individualized attention.

New Teen Camps!
Five Days in the Art World
Calling all teen creatives, artists, and art enthusiasts!  This is your chance to learn more about the art world. Explore the Bay Area arts scene with special access to the artists and organizations that help make up our diverse arts & culture sector.  Each day you will see a different aspect of the art world: from museums and artist studios to auction houses and commercial galleries. This behind-the-scenes camp is led by a practicing artist who will guide tours and facilitate conversations and connections.  Get ready to be inspired. Transportation to and from the Art Center provided each day.
Monday - Friday, June 26-30, 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., ages 13-18Y. Click

Beyond the Franme
Teens interested in contemporary art will love this camp inspired by artists who create temporary artworks and photograph them. This camp will explore the photographs of Andy Goldsworthy's temporary sculptures with objects found in nature, Walter Wick's elaborate scenes created with toys, and Cindy Sherman's transformed self-portraits using costumes and locations. Participants will create their own artworks and photograph them focusing on composition, scale, and perspective.
Monday - Friday, July 24-28, 10 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., ages 13-18Y. Click here to register.
