General Description of Work: Replace existing underground electric primary (12kV) and secondary circuits with new cables. The scope includes, but is not limited to, removing existing primary and secondary cables out of conduit, installing new cable and equipment to replace the old, and making up cable terminations ready for electrical equipment.

NOTE: The contractor will be working in and out of high voltage underground vaults. The contractor must be trained in confined space training, and carry any licenses or permits required. Traffic control plans will be required for certain project locations. Any required Traffic control plans must be approved by City of Palo Alto Transportation Division or appropriate agency. Contractor shall provide references of similar projects completed within the last 3 years.

Design Team Minimum Qualifications
One bridge completed within the last decade (lead architect or engineer must have designed and constructed one bridge after 9/1/2004)• design teams will have a licensed architect, licensed landscape architect and a licensed engineer • design teams shall comply with Design Guidelines

Design teams will not be interviewed, the jury will review written materials only.
Design teams do not need to be invited, all teams that meet minimum requirements are encouraged to submit qualifications.

The City of Palo Alto is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide professional services for more effectively managing its Downtown parking facilities, and is accepting proposals from qualified contractors for the turn-key specification and installation of Parking Guidance Systems (PGS) at garage entry points and Parking Access and Revenue Control (PARC) equipment in at least two of its Downtown parking garages. The contract will require the supply of PGS and PARC system equipment, computer hardware and software (or hosted solution), interconnection of hardware devices, testing and programming, training, installation and warranty of a fully integrated system for the City’s Downtown parking facilities.
