The work to be performed, in general, consists of furnishing all labor, equipment material and transportation required to perform the Work for the Mayfield Soccer Complex Synthetic Turf Replacement Project. Work under this contract includes, but is not limited to Public notification, traffic control, removal and discarding of existing synthetic turf, installation of new synthetic turf at existing fields, grading and preparation for new synthetic turf at perimeter of existing fields, and installation of new synthetic turf at perimeter of existing fields, including all incidental and related work as required by the Scope of Work in the IFB available upon request. Note: The Bidder to whom the Contract will be awarded must, at the time of bid submittal, possess current licenses in the following classification issued by the California State Contractors License Board: Class A/General Engineering Contractor or Class C-27/Landscaping Contractor or Class C61 Limited Specialty/D-12 Synthetic Products Contractor. Bidder’s subcontractors must also be properly licensed. This Project is subject to prevailing wages. Bidders/contractors and subcontractors must register with the California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5.

A pre-Bid Conference is scheduled for Wednesday, May 20, 2015. The Conference shall begin promptly at 11:00 a.m. and shall be held at the jobsite, Mayfield Soccer Complex – 2700 El Camino Real, Palo Alto, CA. The Conference is not mandatory. All prospective bidders are strongly encouraged to attend.

The City of Palo Alto, Utilities Department is seeking a rate consultant to build a cost of service model for its electric utility and perform occasional updates to the model and related fee and rate studies. The contractual arrangement will be a master services agreement, with the consultant and project manager agreeing upon a scope of services and budget for each task order before work begins. The first task order will be to complete a cost of service model for the electric utility as described in this RFP. No subsequent task orders are guaranteed, but if requested, may include related projects, such as rate design for new major customer types, providing advice, research, or analysis on rates-related topics, making major updates to the cost of service model (to incorporate rate designs for new pilot projects, for example), or similar projects. The term of the contract is intended to be one year, with up to four additional one year extensions upon mutual agreement of Consultant and City.
