Description of Project: Seismic retrofit work and new coatings on 4 steel water tanks (Corte Madera, Dahl, Park and Montebello) and rehabilitation work on 3 turnouts (Page Mill, Arastradero and California) as required by Construction Documents herein (Project).
Note: A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for Thursday, April 9, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Utilities Dept., Conference Room 1, 1007 Elwell Court, Palo Alto.
The estimated cost of construction is: $7M.
The Bidder to whom the Contract will be awarded must, at the time of bid submittal, possess current licenses in the following classification issued by the California State Contractors License Board: Class A (General Engineering). Bidder’s subcontractors must also be properly licensed. Note: prevailing wages apply to this project.
The scope of this preventive street maintenance project includes, but
is not limited to: asphalt base repairs, removal of existing striping, crack sealing, accelerated slurry seal placement and replacement of striping.

DIR REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS:
As required by California Labor Code section 1771.1(a), the City provides notice that the City of Palo Alto will not accept a bid proposal from or enter into a contract with, a bidder/contractor and the bidder/contractor or listed subcontractor will not be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal, subject to the requirements of Public Contract Code section 4101, or engage in performing any contract for public work with the City of Palo Alto pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5, unless the bidder/contractor or listed subcontractor proves to the City that it is registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (the “DIR”) and it is qualified to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5 at the time the City awards the Construction Contract (or other contract) covering, in whole or in part, construction or alteration, demolition, repair or maintenance work costing over $1,000, subject to limited legal exceptions.
In accordance with Public Contract Code section 4101, within 24 hours of the bid opening and upon request by the City, a bidder shall submit proof that all of the bidder’s listed subcontractors, identified on its Subcontractors List (or similar) form, are registered with the DIR.
Any City public works contract that is awarded to a bidder/contractor or listed subcontractor that is not registered with the DIR could be cancelled by the City.”
The City of Palo Alto is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide services to Sale of 9,592 square feet of Transferable Development Rights (TDR) from the Roth Building located at 300 Homer Street. These TDR’s do not contain a parking exemption and any development associated with such TDR’s must comply with the City’s Parking Code. The required services are described in the Scope of Services.
The City of Palo Alto is seeking proposals from companies specializing in the auctioning and remarketing of automobiles, trucks, trailers, construction equipment, and miscellaneous automotive items. The City reserves the right to select multiple auctioneers based on their area of expertise as shown in their proposal. The required services and performance conditions shall cover a maximum period of three years as described in the Request for Proposals (RFP) attached.
A non-mandatory pre-proposal conference will be held Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Municipal Services Center, Equipment Management, 3201 East Bayshore Road, Palo Alto, CA. The City of Palo Alto is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide professional services for the administration of the City's Below Market Rate (BMR) housing program in compliance with City policy, guidelines, the applicable deed restrictions, the BMR Program Procedures Manual and in a manner that increases affordable housing opportunities for low and moderate-income households. The required services and performance conditions are described in the Scope of Work (or Services). These services will be required for a two year term for the 2015/2016 & 2016/2017 Fiscal Years.
Through this Request for Qualifications, entitled Scheduling Coordination Services (RFQ), the City is seeking qualifications from qualified California Independent System Operator (CAISO) scheduling coordinator (SC) firms interested in providing scheduling coordination and financial settlement services for the City’s five solar photovoltaic (PV) contracts that are scheduled to come online between the summer of 2015 and the end of 2016, and possibly for its five landfill-gas-to-energy (LFGTE) contracts that are already online.
