The City of Palo Alto Public Works Department Engineering Division is seeking bids to repave the Mitchell Park Parking Lot. The scope of work of the repaving project includes but is not limited to: asphalt base repairs, replacement of damaged concrete structures, removal of existing asphalt, placement of asphalt concrete paving, and replacement of striping in accordance with the project documents, project drawings, and specifications. All bids received are subject to the qualification and evaluation provisions, and terms and conditions, including all incidental and related work as required by PART III, Technical Specifications, herein.
The Bidder to whom the Contract will be awarded must, at the time of bid submittal, possess current licenses in the following classification issued by the California State Contractors License Board: Class A / General Engineering Contractor. Bidder’s subcontractors must also be properly licensed.
American Institute of Architects California Council will be managing a design competition in coordination with the City of Palo Alto.
Design Team Minimum Qualifications
One bridge completed within the last decade (lead architect or engineer must have designed
and constructed one bridge after 9/1/2004)• design teams will have a licensed architect, licensed landscape architect and a licensed engineer • design teams shall comply with Design Guidelines
Design teams will not be interviewed, the jury will review written materials only.
Design teams do not need to be invited, all teams that meet minimum requirements are encouraged to submit qualifications.
