Business Recycling

The Zero Waste Program staff can help businesses identify waste streams, suggest waste reduction strategies, assist in establishing and maintaining recycling programs, recycling collection, and employee education. The Zero Waste Program staff is also available for presentations and company fairs. Call the Zero Waste Program at 650-496-5910 for assistance with your waste reduction and recycling needs.

Business Recycler Newsletter
The Business Recycler is published three times per year and features practical solutions for businesses with the goal of using less, recycling the rest.

Resources
The following resources are available at no charge from the Zero Waste Program:

Deskside Recycling Boxes and Crates-
Boxes: Deskside boxes, made from sturdy recycled cardboard, are good for under the desk or next to a copier or printer. These boxes are imprinted with what is accepted in our Program. No limit on quantity, we'll give you as many as your business can use, and we deliver.

Crates: Crates, made from recycled plastic, are good for collecting recyclables in break rooms/kitchens. Available while supplies last. Crate colors, based on availability, are dark green, blue, and yellow.

Signs/Labels-
Labels, in English and Spanish, are available with guidelines listing what is recyclable. Use these to label the containers you have inside your business.

Business Recycling Brochures-
Illustrates what you can recycle in our Program. Use it as a poster in centralized recycling areas or on bulletin boards. Include it in your new employee orientation.

The Recyclopedia
Use this reuse and recycling resource for matching items such as plastics, pallets, office furniture, binders with either a reuse or recycling option and keep valuable materials out of the landfill.

Buying Recycled Content
