Anyone who believes they are a victim of consumer fraud or deceptive business practices can contact this unit of the D.A.'s Office, even if it is a civil matter. In some cases the District Attorney's Office will investigate the complaint, and if appropriate take legal action. Volunteers at the unit will assist complainants with the small claims process and offer other resources to deal with complaints in the civil arena.
