| | Peninsula Cities Consortium Significance The Peninsula Cities Consortium (PCC) represents another opportunity for Palo Alto residents to stay current on High Speed Rail (HSR) issues and provide input that is conveyed to the California High Speed Rail Authority (CHSRA). Overview The PCC was established in 2009 to address the growing number of concerns that Peninsula cities had regarding HSR and its potential impacts. The six member cities of the PCC are Atherton, Belmont, Brisbane, Burlingame, Menlo Park, and Palo Alto. The PCC has been open in their invitation to other cities along the Peninsula to join the organization. Meetings The PCC holds regularly scheduled meetings on the first and third Fridays of the month (with some exceptions) from 8:15-10:15 AM. The location of the meetings rotates every three months between the five member cities. For periodic HSR email updates join our Maillist and stay informed with what's next. | Objectives As stated on the PCC website “although each city faces unique and specific location challenges, all Peninsula cities share many similar concerns and the strong underlying belief that particular care must be taken to integrate high speed rail into the living fabric of the Peninsula.” |
