City Council HSR Committee
Significance
The Palo Alto City Council High Speed Rail (HSR) Committee represents the interests of Palo Alto during the ongoing HSR evaluation process. This Committee provides an opportunity for in depth analysis and deliberation of best practices and next steps.
The Palo Alto City Council is responsible for submitting formal responses to the California High Speed Rail Authority (CHSRA) on multiple issues and these meetings enable the public to provide input to the Palo Alto City Council HSR Committee.
Overview
The Committee is comprised of four City Council members with the responsibility to "advise the City Council on High Speed Rail and related rail transit matters and provide the community with appropriate forums for the discussion of such issues" as stated in their Guiding Principals document.

Meetings
The Committee has regularly scheduled meetings held on the first and third Thursdays of the month from 8:30-10:00 AM at City Hall (250 Hamilton Avenue) in the Council Conference Room located on the first floor. However, additional special meetings are scheduled from time to time.
