Library Home Connection Library Home Connection is a service of the Palo Alto City Library that provides a visit and delivery of library materials to people who cannot get to the library because of an extended illness or long term disability. Described Video Recordings (DVS) Videos that have spoken descriptions of the action read between lines of dialog, while the complete video plays. Available at Mitchell Park library. Call 650-329-2436 for information.
Large Print Books & Magazines, Books-on-Tape and Books-on-CD Available throughout the libraries or through Books Aloud, Inc.
Braille Materials Books and magazines are available on tape or in braille for the visually impaired or physically disabled from the California State Braille and Talking Book Library. For information on this program, call 1-800-952-5666 or send an email to btbl@library.ca.gov.
A Sign Language Interpreter An interpreter can be provided to assist anyone in use of library services with 72 hours notice. Contact City of Palo Alto's Americans with Disabilities Act coordinator, 650-329-2550 (voice).
Help With Handling Library Materials Call the library branch you will be visiting to set up an appointment with someone who will meet you at the library and assist you with finding, reaching and carrying materials to your car.
