About Adopt-a-Park
Maintaining 4,000 acres of open space preserve and park land, two interpretive centers, 40 miles of trails, and 26 footbridges is no small project! While rangers work hard to maintain existing facilities, the Adopt-A-Park program is intended to provide extra amenities in our parks to enhance hiking, bird watching, biking, and relaxation. Groups and individuals are invited to "adopt" a trail, a recreation area or even an entire park to help keep clean and beautiful for all to enjoy. Donations, bequests and matching pledges are also used to purchase much needed benches, wayside information displays, trees and landscaping materials, to make our nature preserves safe, attractive and fun. Please call (650) 463-4976 for information on how you can help beautify our parks.
Friends of Foothills Park
Help clear trails, lead nature hikes, design displays and exhibits and educate children about habitat preservation and coexisting with wildlife! Whether you have one free weekend or an hour every week, the Friends of Foothills Park have a broad range of activities and projects to involve all nature lovers. Please call (650) 329-2423 for information.
Arastradero Preserve Stewardship

Help protect this important nesting and breeding ground for owls, bobcats and countless species of song birds. Workdays are on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Call to confirm dates when holidays fall near a workday. Meet in the preserve parking lot. Please call 650-962-9876 x347 to RSVP. For more information about restoration activities, visit www.arastradero.org.
