While the Palo Alto Art Center is closed for a substantial transformation of its facilities, community members will still be able to discover, learn, create, and be inspired through our On the Road programs.
Art Truck:
The Art Center Art Truck will provide on-going art experiences at events throughout the community. Art activities and locations will be announced frequently via Facebook (paloaltoartcenter) and Twitter (@paloaltoart), call 650.329.2366 or email artcenter@cityofpaloalto.org.
Volunteering:
Interested in volunteering with our Summer Camp program? Click here to download the PDF Sign Up Sheet to volunteer as a 2012 Art Center Summer Camp CIT (Counselor in Training). Be sure to read the instructions for making your selection(s), and thank you for being a volunteer!
There are so many ways to share your time and enthusiasm with the Palo Alto Art Center, even as we go On the Road! From regular commitments to occasional drop-in opportunities, Art Center volunteers support all aspects of education, special events, exhibitions, and more--and there is a place for you! All volunteers are welcome and training is provided. Get involved! Contact Emily Lacroix, Volunteer Coordinator, at 650.329.2370 or emily.lacroix@cityofpaloalto.org.
Project LOOK!
Project LOOK! offers museum tours to K-12th grade school groups. All tours include a hands-on art activity. Students, parents, and teachers participate in a lively, docent-led tour followed by a related hands-on activity or artist demonstration. Teachers also receive a helpful information packet before the tour with exhibition-related materials and activities. For details, see the Project LOOK! web page.
