Project LOOK! offers exhibition tours to K-12th grade school groups. All tours include a hands-on art activity.
Students, teachers, and parents participate in a lively, docent-led tour of the galleries followed by a related hands-on activity or artist demonstration. Teachers also receive a helpful information packet (link to pdf) before the tour with exhibition-related materials and activities.
Project LOOK! makes art accessible to all students, and fosters:
- Imagination, teamwork, problem-solving and open communication
- Appreciation and understanding of cultural heritage and diversity
- Interdisciplinary exploration of core subjects through the lens of art
- A connection between the experience of viewing art and making art
- Creative expression and pride in creating something unique
