Description:
Family Resources is your link to the community. Responding to the community's expressed interest in easier access to improved information about services, and expressed need for diminished isolation, Family Resources offers a comprehensive solution. Family Resources provides 1.) A friendly and searchable internet database with information about more than 600 services available to meet local families' needs and interests, 2.) Desktop kiosks of information placed throughout town, 3.) A person-to-person Ambassador Development Program, bringing the community together to provide training about resources and effective ways of strengthening the community by sharing the information, and 4.) A central office where resource specialists can provide individual assistance. We're here to help you find what you need. Operating from the City's Human Services Division, Family Resources is a public/private partnership between the City of Palo Alto and non-profit human service providers and community members. For people who use the Internet, a visit to the Family Resources website (www.cityofpaloalto.org/familyresources) will introduce community leaders, service providers, and grass root citizens; and you will find a conveniently organized idex of hundreds of resources. Information is also offered in Spanish, Russian, Chinese, and Japanese.
