Description: Breast Cancer Connections is a nonprofit organization that provides information and support to anyone touched by breast cancer in an atmosphere of warmth, sensitivity, and understanding.
The Helpline (650-326-6686) is answered Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Helpliners provide empathy and encouragement and connect people with CBHP and other community resources. CBHP's Buddy Program matches individuals with someone to talk with who has gone through a similar situation. There is individual counseling available as well as support groups, including a Couples Support Group, a DCIS support group, a Metastatic Breast Cancer Group, and a Recovery & Renewal Group for those who have completed treatment. Thursday evenings a doctor or nurse is available to address medical questions and concerns at the Open House/Q&A session from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Many other programs and services are offered, all free of change.
