Description: 
De Anza offers two-year transfer programs and career programs leading to an Associate in Arts or an Associate in Science degree. In addition, certificates of completion, achievement and proficiency are awarded upon satisfactory completion of certain vocational programs that require less than two years of study. Extended Opportunities Programs and Services (EOPS) and Cooperative Agencies Resources for Education (CARE) is a state funded program established to assist low income and academically disadvantaged California residents to be successful in college. EOPS/CARE provides eligible students with support services such as early registration, personal and academic counseling, transfer assistance and may include grants and book assistance. CARE is the program for single parents. Occupational Training Institute (OTI) provides training and job placement services. Refugee Program offers ESL classes along with vocational training and placement services to Russian, Bosnian, and Vietnamese refugees. Older Adult Studies are classes designed for students 50 or above; courses are non-credit with no enrollment fee. Special Education Department provides services for disabled students - Educational Diagnostic Center, Career Development and Employment Program, Adapted Physical Education, Off-Campus programs for students with developmental disabilities. Visually impaired students have services to assist them with curricular modifications, ordering materials in special media and mobility assistance. For Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, a specialist is available to help provide for sign language interpreting and captioning services. There are several other services also available.
