Description:
Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic (RFB&D) has as its mission to create opportunities for individual success by providing and promoting the effective use of accessible textbooks and educational materials. Our consumers are individuals with learning disabilities, visual, perceptual or physical challenges that impede reading printed materials. RFB&D offers individual and school memberships at a nominal cost so that students, kindergarten through graduate school and professionals, can access our educational materials and textbooks. There are over 90,000 book titles in our national library. The Northern California Unit, located in Palo Alto, houses the recording facility, member services, volunteer and development departments. We have many volunteer opportunities in a variety of areas.
