database. The information is updated by the agency, organization or program
sponsor on a yearly basis, in quarterly cycles. To link directly to a resource's

Description: Provides legal services to low-income residents: information, counseling, mediation services, aid in forms preparation, and legal representation in divorce/separation issues. Provides high-quality civil legal representation to indigent residents of Santa Clara County through the use of volunteers. The Homeless Advocacy Project provides legal advocates to those who cannot afford housing in the county by staffing legal clinics in homeless shelters. The General Assistance Project, through legal representation, helps those who are eligible for General Assistance find a stable source of income through employment, disability or other benefits. Through the Consumer Law Project, legal services are made available to consumers. The Bankruptcy Clinics provide legal advice to those who may be considering bankruptcy. The Family Law Project's attorneys handle divorces, child custody and other family law matters. The Mediation Project provides mediation services in all areas of the law, but focuses on family issues. The Paternity Clinic represents men against whom the District Attorney has brought a paternity action. The Project, through its Disaster Effort, coordinates the legal response after major disasters in Santa Clara County.
