Description: Provides education, support, annual symposium, advocacy, consulting, and school inservice, and information and referral (listings of tutors, disability attorneys, diagnosticians and therapists and coaches) for those with a diagnosis of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) or learning disorders. Also provides information of facilities that can perform diagnostic evaluations, treatment, therapy and other services for the ADHD/LD client. Public speakers are available to the media to increase awareness and education about ADHD/LD and the services offered. A quarterly newsletter is published. Maintains the largest referral network in the state of California including day and residential private schools and life-skill placements for young adults. Maintains multi-sensory lending library with over 750 titles of books, A-V tapes on every aspect of ADHD and LD across the lifespan (a benefit of membership).
