Palo Alto, CA -- From Monday, November 17, 2008 through January 2, 2009, the Palo Alto Police Department Parking Enforcement Division will allow 3 hours of free parking for on-street parking spaces in the normal 2-hour Color Zones.
Free 3-hour parking is available at all garages (Alma/High, Bryant/Lytton, Civic Center, Cowper/Webster, and Ramona/University) except in designated permit zones.
Patrons visiting the variety of retail stores, restaurants and service providers can enjoy these extended hours for holiday shopping and gathering in the downtown area.
Surface street parking lots will also provide 3-hour free parking status within the Color Zones downtown. Citizens desiring to park longer can purchase all-day parking permits at the Pay and Stay parking permit machines located on the first floor of the multi-level parking garages at Lot S/L located at Bryant and Lytton and at the Cowper/Webster garage.
