|Palo Alto, CA -- The Palo Alto Police Department has identified the suspect arrested yesterday following a violent struggle with police, during which time he ripped an officer's firearm – still in the holster - off of the officer's duty belt.|
Following a medical clearance at a local hospital, police booked 34-year-old Ryan Goodson of Fresno into the Santa Clara County Main Jail for four felony charges: taking a peace officer's firearm, resisting arrest with violence, brandishing a deadly weapon while resisting, and battery on a peace officer with injury. A booking photo of the suspect is attached to this release.
